Control Effectiveness can be used to record how effective a control is at reducing the impact and/or likelihood of the risks it is applied to.
Effectiveness values are used in the Control Effectiveness Field in the Control Classification section on control records.
Common examples of control effectiveness values include largely ineffective, partially effective and fully effective. Colours can be assigned to each effectiveness value and this is consistent across the module, reports, and charts.
To create a Control Effectiveness Level, as a Master User, navigate to the Account Settings.
From the menu on the left-hand side of the page, click Module Setup followed by Risk Management, and then Controls Register from the sub-menu.
Under the Control Effectiveness Setup section, click +Add to add a new Control Effectiveness Level.
Type the Control Effectiveness Level name into the field provided. You may also want to add a description as a guide to when this level should be used. Finally, you can also assign a colour to the control level and then click Save.
Once created, the Control Effectiveness Levels can be edited, disabled, or deleted from the Control Effectiveness Setup section. Disabling an Effectiveness Level will remove it as an available option in the list but will remain visible on records where the level was selected previously.
